Eve Muirhead "gutted" after semi-final defeat

Great Britain women's curling skip Eve Muirhead says that she was "gutted" to lose to Canada in their Winter Olympics semi-final.

Great Britain women's curling skip Eve Muirhead has said that she is "gutted" with the team's semi-final defeat to Canada at the Winter Olympics.

Team GB fought back from a 2-0 deficit early on to take the match to the 10th end, with Muirhead forcing Canada skip Jennifer Jones into playing a match-winning shot with the final stone.

Muirhead has said that the team are determined to take home a medal from the Sochi Games.

"I'm gutted and so are all the girls," she told BBC Sport. "I came into this tournament saying I wanted no regrets and we gave everything we could in that game.

"I'm proud of the girls and we've still got a chance of a medal. I don't want to come away without a medal around my neck.

"Our backs were against the wall but we gave it back to them and it was a high quality game. We've trained hard for this and we'll give the next match our all."

Britain face Switzerland in the bronze medal match on Thursday.
