Lonsdale: 'I hope family are proud'

Great Britain skier Emma Lonsdale has failed to qualify for the ladies' half-pipe final, but admitted that she still 'had fun'.

The 29-year-old, who finished 18th in qualifying with only the top 12 progressing, recorded scores of 53.80 and 53.20 at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.

"It was fun, a bit nerve-wracking but I enjoyed it and hope my family are proud of me," Lonsdale told BBC Sport following the event.

Marie Martinod of France finished first, while United States duo Brita Sigourney and Maddie Bowman completed the qualifiers in second and third respectively.
