Team GB curling skipper David Murdoch "pumped up" after win

Great Britain's men's curling skipper David Murdoch has revealed his delight at his team's narrow 7-6 win over Germany in the preliminary round at the 2014 Sochi Games.

Murdoch, whose side have now won two of their opening three matches, admits that GB needed a lot of luck but believes that his opposite number Felix Schulze was put under a good amount of pressure.

"We are pretty pumped up after winning that one and we need to have that attitude for the rest of the games," he told Team GB's official website.

"We can't start lackadaisical, we need to come in pumped up and get on top of things. We are winning hammer every game and not really capitalising.

"It is about time I had Olympic luck, I have not had much in my previous eight years. It is about forcing pressure on the opposition skip to make a mess and at the end we did that."

Britain take on Switzerland in their fourth match on Wednesday.
