Alcott: "I'm not proud of my time"

Great Britain skier Chemmy Alcott has expressed disappointment with her performance in today's super-G event at the Sochi Winter Olympics.

The 31-year-old, who finished 23rd, spoke of how she took some risks during her run that didn't pay off.

"I had to have the height today and I didn't do that," Alcott told BBC Sport. "I was pinching the line. Some risks pay off.

"In the downhill the risks paid off, but unfortunately today those risks didn't. I'm not proud of my time."

Austria's Anna Fenninger secured the gold medal in today's event, which saw a total of 18 skiers, including eight of the first 11, fail to make it down the 2.2km course.
