Gate keeper dies at skiing World Cup in Italy

A gate keeper at the men's World Cup skiing event in Italy died of a heart attack this evening, organisers have revealed.

After a delay to the start of the slalom event, attempts were made to save the man but he could not be resuscitated.

The man was identified as a ski instructor in the resort of Madonna di Campiglio.

Organisers said that he had a history of heart problems but his identity was withheld.
