Oleksiy Torokhtiy claims gold in 105kg

Ukraine's Oleksiy Torokhtiy has won gold in the men's 105kg weightlifting after a dramatic final few moments at the ExCel.

Torokhtiy was able to record a clean and jerk total of 227kg with his final lift to take the Olympic title with a total of 412kg.

Navab Nasirshelal of Iran missed out on the gold by 1kg but was able to secure silver ahead of his closest rival by the same difference in total weight.

Poland's Wojciech Bonk produced a superb performance in the snatch to lead at the halfway stage but his failure to continue his good form meant he was only able to win the bronze medal.
