Kazakhstan breaks world record to win weightlifting gold

Kazakhstan weightlifter Ilya Ilyin smashed the world record to win gold in the men's 94kg competition.

The 24-year-old was in the form of his life, setting a world record in the clean and jerk with a lift of 233kg and setting a new overall record of 418kg to dominate the field.

Alexandr Ivanov claimed silver for Russia, followed by a bronze medal for Moldova's Anatoli Ciricu.

Ilyin produced an inspired display to give Kazakhstan their fourth weightlifting gold of London 2012.
