Iran win men's 105kg gold & silver

Iran have secured both gold and silver in the men's +105kg weightlifting final this evening.

Behdad Salimikordasiabi took gold, beating compatriot Sajjad Anoushiravani Hamlabad in both the snatch and the clean and jerk.

Salimikordasiabi lifted 208kg in the snatch, a weight equalled by Russia's Ruslan Albegov, but his 247kg clean and jerk was the best of the whole competition, giving him a combined score of 455kg, six more than Hamlabad.

Albegov lifted 240kg in the clean and jerk to secure a bronze medal, comfortably beating fourth-placed Sang-Guen Jeon of South Korea and only missing out on silver by one kilogram.
