USA see off South Korea in volleyball semi-final

The United States have blasted into the final of the women's volleyball tournament after defeating South Korea 3-0.

The USA's serve proved vital for their team in the early stages of the opening set after taking a firm lead. However, South Korea were hot on their heels and managed to narrow the scoreline but the USA claimed the first set 25-20.

The Americans continued their dominance by picking up the first two points of the second set and while Korea tried to put pressure on their opponents, it wasn't enough as the USA cruised to a 25-22 win.

The third set became a formality for the Americans as they wrapped up the contest 25-22 and booked their place in the final with either Brazil or Japan, who play this evening.
