Kyle Edmund bows out in Guadeloupe semi-finals

British number three Kyle Edmund misses out on a place in the Guadeloupe Challenger final after losing in straight sets to Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

Kyle Edmund suffered a straight-sets defeat to Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the semi-finals of the Guadeloupe Challenger.

The British number three has enjoyed another fine week on the challenger circuit, but he could not reach a second final of 2015 after coming up short against the Frenchman.

Roger-Vasselin broke Edmund's serve on three occasions during the first set, and it appeared as though it would be one-way traffic in the second when he moved an early break ahead.

However, Edmund immediately hit back to level the set, only for Roger-Vasselin to find another gear and eventually run out a 6-2 6-3 winner.

The 20-year-old could break into the top 130 of the ATP world rankings on Monday.
