British number one Andy Murray admits that Wednesday's quarter-final against David Ferrer will be "tough".

British number one Andy Murray has admitted that tomorrow's French Open quarter-final against David Ferrer will be "tough".

Murray, 25, advanced to the last eight in Paris by coming from a set down against Richard Gasquet on Monday.

He now faces Ferrer, who has won all three of their previous meetings on clay, in the quarters at Roland Garros.

Murray said: "I've always found it tough against him on clay in matches and in practice. I train with him quite a lot, and I get on very well with him.

"We know each other's games very well, and he's one of the best players in the world on any surface, so it's going to be a tough match."

Ferrer, 30, has looked in good touch in the French capital so far, dropping just 25 games and never more than four in a set.
