Tim Smyczek: Rafael Nadal "one of the best"

Tim Smyczek has described Rafael Nadal as "one of the best" after the third seed came from 2-1 down to beat him in five sets at the Australian Open.

The world number 112 appeared to be heading for a shock win over the 2009 champion, but the third seed fought back after receiving treatment from a doctor and trainer.

The American told reporters: "Rafa's been on tour for 10 or 11 years and you never see him take a point off.

"I knew there wasn't going to be many free points. That was his C or D game. He found a way to win. So hats off to him. That's why he's one of the best."

Nadal faces Israel's Dudi Sela in the third round.
