Andy Murray prepared for tough draw at Australian Open

Andy Murray insists that he is prepared for an "extremely difficult" path to the Australian Open final ahead of his first-round meeting with Yuki Bhambri.

Andy Murray has claimed that he will not allow a potentially difficult Australian Open draw have an impact on his confidence ahead of his first test in Melbourne.

The sixth seed will take on qualifier Yuki Bhambri in the first round on Monday morning knowing that Grigor Dimitrov, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal could all stand in his way as he bids to reach a fourth final.

"It's obviously a very difficult draw," Murray told reporters.

"If you have to play all of those players, it's going to be extremely difficult to come through that. I'm aware of that. That's fine.

"But often in these events there are upsets. It will be interesting to see how it goes but definitely it's very challenging."

Murray has not been beaten in the first round of a Grand Slam since the 2008 Australian Open.
