Peaty: 'Gold medal win is a dream'

Team England swimmer Adam Peaty has admitted that it was a "dream" come true to win the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in the men's 100m breaststroke.

The 19-year-old broke the British and Games record to finish ahead of South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh and clinch the Commonwealth title.

He told BBC Sport: "I can't believe it! It's a dream. I've studied Cameron van der Burgh for a while, he was my idol now my rival so I know he goes off quick but I caught him."

Scotland's Ross Murdoch added to his medal tally as he secured bronze in the event.
