Thomas Fraser-Homes claims 200m freestyle gold ahead of Australian teammate Cameron McEvoy and Calum Jarvis, who earns a first medal for Wales in the pool.

Thomas Fraser-Holmes held on in the closing stages to claim Commonwealth gold in the 200m freestyle final ahead of Australian teammate Cameron McEvoy.

The pair were joined by fellow Australian David McKeon early in the race before pulling away in the second 100m to earn distance between themselves and the rest of the field.

Fraser-Holmes finished in a time of 1:45.08, just under a half a second ahead of McEvoy, while Calum Jarvis came home in third to earn a first medal in the pool for Wales.

McKeon finished fourth, with Scotland's Robbie Renwick only managing to claim fifth spot.
