England's Emma Beddoes determined to win bronze

Team England squash player Emma Beddoes is determined to win the bronze medal with partner Alison Waters following their semi-final defeat at the Commonwealth Games.

Team England squash player Emma Beddoes has revealed that she and partner Alison Waters are determined to win the bronze medal after losing their women's doubles semi-final at the Commonwealth Games.

The duo lost to England teammates Jenny Duncalf and Laura Massaro in straight sets at the Scotstoun Campus, missing out on the chance to compete for the gold medal.

She told reporters: "Those two are very good glass court players, they knew where to put their shots and did it very well.

"But we still have the bronze medal to go for tomorrow and then we will be 100% behind the girls as they go for gold."

Beddoes and Waters will compete in the bronze-medal match on Saturday.
