Worcester Warriors score 14 tries against Rovigo

Worcester Warriors stormed to victory over Italian side Rovigo in their opening fixture in the Challenge Cup this afternoon.

The Premiership side ran in 14 tries at the Sixways Stadium, beating the visitors 90-3.

Warriors took a commanding 31-3 lead at half-time, with Rovigo rarely seeing the ball in the second half.

David Lemi was the pick of the tryscorers with four, while Andy Short got a hat-trick.

Joe Carlisle and Matt Kvesic scored two tries each, with Sam Betty, Errie Claassens and Craig Gillies also on the scoreboard.

The result leaves Worcester top of Pool 2.
