Worcester Warriors 16-16 Gloucester Rugby

A last-minute Freddie Burns penalty allowed Gloucester to escape with a 16-16 draw against Worcester at Sixways this afternoon.

In an uneventful first half, Andy Goode and Billy Twelvetrees exchanged penalties to send Gloucester into the break 6-3 up.

A yellow card for Worcester fly-half Goode was one of the main talking points of the opening stages, with the veteran sent to the bin for pulling a man back off the ball.

Worcester levelled the scores early in the second half, with Joe Carlisle kicking a penalty in Goode's absence.

Shane Monohan then made a break down the wing for Gloucester, swatting off the attempting Worcester defence to set up Henry Trinder for a run in.

With the game having come to life, substitute James Currie levelled the score for Worcester, bundling over in the 73rd minute.

Andy Goode looked to have snatched the victory in the 79th minute but Freddie Burns rescued a draw for Gloucester with the last kick of the game.
