Gareth Davies signs new deal with Scarlets

Scrum-half Gareth Davies puts an end to speculation about his future by signing a new contract with Scarlets.

Scarlets have confirmed that Gareth Davies has signed a new contract with the club.

The 25-year-old Wales international scored five tries at the recent Rugby World Cup, which in turn had seen his services linked with a host of different teams.

However, the scrum-half has put an end to the speculation, having committed himself to the Parc y Scarlets for a further two years.

"I'm very pleased to have signed a new contract to stay at the Scarlets for another couple of seasons," he told the club's official website.

"Interest from elsewhere has been flattering but I always wanted to remain here and continue my development at the region I've been supporting since I was a child."

Davies has made 120 appearances for Scarlets since his debut in March 2009.
