Scarlets wing Mike Poole leaves hospital after three operations

Scarlets wing Mike Poole has left hospital after undergoing three operations.

The 27-year-old needed hospital treatment after suffering a serious neck injury while playing for Llanelli in a Principality Premiership game against Swansea.

According to Wales Online, Scarlets medical chief Andy Walker said: "Mike underwent a third operation last Sunday and is doing well.

"The operations have stabilised his spine and Mike is now on the road to recovery and was discharged from hospital on Tuesday. We will continue to monitor and review Mike's condition over the coming weeks."

Poole suffered the injury 11 days ago.
