Leicester Tigers suffer Scarlets defeat

Scarlets beat Leicester Tigers 15-3 for their first European Rugby Champions Cup win of the season.

Scarlets have edged out Leicester Tigers 15-3 at the Parc Y Scarlets to pick up their first European Rugby Champions Cup win of the campaign.

The visiting side went ahead on 14 minutes when Owen Williams kicked over a penalty, but Harry Robinson soon capitalised on Miles Benjamin spilling the ball to cross over for the Welsh outfit.

Scarlets did not look back from that moment on, adding further points before the interval courtesy of Steven Shingler's penalty.

Aled Davies then gave the Pro 12 club some breathing space when he charged half the length of the pitch to score try number two for his side shortly after the hour.

That proved to be the end of the scoring in the Pool 3 tie, ensuring that Richard Cockerill's charges went home empty handed.
