Saracens have confirmed that winger David Strettle will join Clermont Auvergne next season.

The England international, 31, has agreed a three-year contract with the French club.

Strettle's five-year spell with Sarries came to an end on Saturday with a resounding victory over Bath in the Aviva Premiership final.

"Something special has been happening at Saracens in the past few years and I feel very privileged to have been part of this period of success, on and off the field," he told the club's official website.

"We have won some famous matches and several trophies, but the bond within the squad has been incredible and it's fantastic to see this culture producing a new generation of top young players.

"I've had an amazing five years at Saracens and am now really looking forward to a new chapter in my career - playing at Clermont and testing myself in the Top 14."

Strettle has been included in the England training squad for the Rugby World Cup.
