London Irish stun Saracens

London Irish dominate the first half against Saracens to inflict just the second defeat of the season on the Aviva Premiership leaders.

Saracens have been beaten for just the second time in the Aviva Premiership this season, losing 22-13 to London Irish this afternoon.

The home side were without several of their regular first-team members because of their involvement in the Six Nations.

The sides were well matched for much of the opening half, but two tries in the final five minutes before half time from Alex Lewington and George Skivington ensured that the Exiles were in control at the break.

Schalk Brits gave the league leaders some late hope as he forced his way across the line with five minutes left to play, but it was too late for Saracens to complete the comeback.

Despite the loss, Saracens remain at the top of the table, while Irish sit 10th.
