Mark McCall happy with Sarries start

Mark McCall says that Saracens are where he wants them to be in the Aviva Premiership.

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall is happy with his side's start to the season.

Charlie Hodgson scored all of Sarries' points as they beat London Welsh 28-23 at the Kassam Stadium.

Saracens currently sit fourth in the Aviva Premiership table, and McCall feels that his side should be in that position come the end of the campaign.

"Charlie Hodgson was great today. Charlie and Owen Farrell combined well," said McCall.

"After 60 minutes everything was good and it should have been more comfortable than it was.

"We are round about where we want to be in the Premiership. We have rotated the squad sensibly in the first six games and we are fresh."

Saracens face Edinburgh in the Heineken Cup on Saturday.
