George Kruis: 'Saracens must carry momentum into Toulouse clash'

George Kruis calls on Saracens to bring their Aviva Premiership form into the start of their Champions Cup opener against Toulouse.

Saracens second-rower George Kruis has urged his teammates to carry their good early-season form into the start of their European Champions Cup campaign.

Mark McCall's men warmed up for their competition opener against Toulouse next weekend by condemning Northampton Saints to a third defeat in four games.

However, the England lock is hoping that their start to the Aviva Premiership season will stand them in good stead for the game against the French giants.

"It's all about momentum going into Europe, and hopefully we've got that after today's result," Kruis is quoted by the club's official website as saying.

"Toulouse are a great side, and we have a very tough start to the competition next weekend, so [going] into the Pool stages after a great start to the Premiership season is important for us."

Toulouse have won the European Cup four times and have also finished runner-up twice.
