Kingsley Jones appointed Russia coach

Former Wales captain Kingsley Jones has been appointed the new coach of the Russian national team.

The 42-year-old, who was part of the Russian coaching staff at the 2011 World Cup, has succeeded Nikolay Nerush.

"He'll be our head coach for the next four years, until the 2015 World Cup," Russian rugby union boss Vyacheslav Kopyev told Reuters.

Jones has previously coached Sale Sharks, where he led the side for seven years.
