Cama left out of New Zealand's Sevens

Tomasi Cama has failed to earn a place in the New Zealand Rugby Sevens squad for this month's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The 33-year-old's role has been taken by Gillies Kaka following a season hampered by injury for the playmaker.

Frank Halai and Adam Whitelock were included in the initial training squad, but have failed to make the 12-man team for the Games in Scotland.

Pita Ahki and Declan O'Donnell have been handed places in the team, which will be captained by DJ Forbes.

New Zealand: Pita Ahki, Scott Curry, Sam Dickson, DJ Forbes (capt), Bryce Heem, Akira Ioane, Gillies Kaka, Ben Lam, Tim Mikkelson, Declan O'Donnell, Sherwin Stowers, Joe Webber
