London Welsh leave the Kassam Stadium

Old Deer Park in Richmond will be home to London Welsh next season following their relegation from the Aviva Premiership.

London Welsh have confirmed that they have left the Kassam Stadium in Oxford and will return to London next season following their relegation from the Aviva Premiership.

The Exiles will play their home games at Old Deer Park in Richmond, where they were based between 1957 and 2012.

"We have enjoyed a very exciting and challenging period in Oxford these past three years," the club said in a statement.

"We have had successes on and off the pitch and yet we also need to recognise that perhaps the degree of support, both in terms of ground attendance and commercial sponsorship, may not have been quite as extensive as we might have hoped or wished for."

The club signed a three-year deal to play in Oxford in April 2014, but were relegated from the Premiership last season without winning a game.
