London Wasps edge past Exeter Chiefs

London Wasps score a last-gasp drop goal to edge past Exeter Chiefs.

London Wasps have beaten Exeter Chiefs with a late drop goal in a close-fought encounter in the Aviva Premiership.

The away side were 10-3 ahead after only 11 minutes with a try by Dave Lewis and conversion and penalty kick by Henry Slade.

Another Slade kick ensured that the Chiefs were 10 points ahead at the break.

However, in the second half the hosts began to show their skills and two Andy Goode penalties reduced the deficit to just four.

Joe Simpson then went over to put the Wasps in front, and Goode completed a successful conversion.

With time running out, Slade's boot again did the damage, levelling the score with eight minutes remaining.

However, with just seconds left, Goode hit a drop goal to secure a dramatic home win.
