Bath ease past London Irish

Bath get the better of London Irish 44-23 in the Aviva Premiership.

Bath have secured a bonus-point victory over London Irish in the Aviva Premiership.

Mike Ford's side ran out 44-23 winners over their hosts at the Madejski Stadium to move up to third in the table.

Kyle Eastmond scored a try and George Ford hit three penalties for the visitors before the break to give them a 14-13 lead, although a try from Topsy Ojo and James O'Connor's kicks kept Irish in the contest.

After the interval, Bath stepped up their game, as Anthony Watson and David Wilson crossed the line, while Ford converted.

Chris Hala'ufia bundled over for the Irish, but a late converted try from Matt Garvey and three Ford penalties proved to be too much for the hosts to overcome.
