London Irish pick up first LV= Cup win

London Irish beat Scarlets in convincing style at the Madejski Stadium to pick up their first LV= Cup win in the final round of pool games.

London Irish have won their first LV= Cup game of the season by beating Scarlets 29-10 at the Madejski Stadium.

The hosts raced into an early lead through Andrew Fenby's try, but their advantage was soon reduced courtesy of Josh Lewis's penalty.

Irish added three more tries before the interval, with Shane Geraghty, Jamie Hagan and Sailosi Tagicakibau all crossing the line to send the side bottom of Pool 1 into a commanding lead.

George Earle's try after 73 minutes and Gareth Owen's resulting conversion helped cut the deficit, although the Exiles hit back soon after with Myles Dorrian touching down to round off their resounding victory.
