Salvi to leave Leicester Tigers

Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill has confirmed that flanker Julian Salvi will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old Australian's current deal at Welford Road is due to expire in the summer.

Salvi, who joined Leicester in 2011, had been in talks with the club over a new contract, but both parties have failed to agree fresh terms.

"The saga around that is what it is," Cockerill told BBC Sport. "Julian is moving on - that's life."

Salvi has been linked with a move to France and Exeter Chiefs in recent weeks.
