Leicester Tigers announce re-signing of Brett Deacon

Back-rower Brett Deacon has returned to Leicester Tigers following a two-year spell with Gloucester.

Deacon, a product of the Tigers Academy, has been signed to cover injuries to Tom Croft and Craig Newby.

"We have had some injury issues in the back row and Jordan Crane coming back from long-term injury," claimed director of rugby Richard Cockerill.

"Brett has done well for Gloucester during the past couple of years and he already knows the environment well at Leicester."

Cockerill has also added scrum-half Pat Phibbs to the Leicester ranks as injury cover for Ben Youngs and Scott Steele.
