Northampton face two-time champions Munster on the Heineken Cup opening weekend

Northampton will face two-time champions Munster in the first round of Heineken Cup matches.

Other opening fixtures include Racing Metro hosting Cardiff Blues, debutants Connacht away at Harlequins and defending champions Leinster travel to Montpellier.

Last year's final saw Leinster turn around a 22-6 half-time deficit to beat Northampton in one of the most memorable finals of recent years.

The competition kicks off on Friday November 11.
