Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea pays Ugo Monye tribute

Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea has paid tribute to Ugo Monye after the winger scored two tries on his final home appearance for the club.

The 32-year-old, who will retire in the summer, went over twice against Bath at Twickenham Stoop last night, but his efforts were not enough to stop Quins losing 27-26 in the Aviva Premiership.

"His first try was a finish but he had started the game really well," O'Shea told BBC Sport. "His second try - what a finish. That was just raw power. And I also like the way he stood up when Sam Burgess unloaded on him. He is very special.

"I'll do well to get him on the pitch against Newcastle next weekend because he seemed to enjoy his swansong. He had a big bottle of champagne with him."

Harlequins play their final game of the season on May 16 when they make the trip to Newcastle Falcons.
