London Wasps survived a strong finish from Gloucester to secure a 32-30 win in the Aviva Premiership this evening.

The visitors dominated the opening 20 minutes, with Christian Wade and Nathan Hughes both finding the try line to give Wasps a 14-0 lead, but Shaun Knight went over for the hosts to keep them in contention at the break.

The Gloucester fightback continued in the second half, as Sione Kalamafoni scored just three minutes after the restart, leaving the hosts just two points down.

Freddie Burns was able to kick a penalty to give Gloucester the advantage for the first time, but Andy Goode soon managed to add a further three points for Wasps.

Jimmy Cowan tried to kick a drop goal inside the last 10 minutes for the home team, but Rob Cook was able go one better, forcing his way over the try line with nine minutes to play.

However, late tries from Guy Thompson and Wade ensured that Wasps were able to hold on the clinch the win, despite Cook grabbing his second try of the match with the final play of the game.
