Gloucester Rugby confirm that Trevor Woodman has returned to the club as scrum coach.

Gloucester Rugby have confirmed that Trevor Woodman has returned to the club as scrum coach.

The former prop spent nine years as a player at Kingsholm Stadium before leaving for Sale Sharks in 2004.

Since his retirement in 2005, Woodman has enjoyed a successful coaching career working with the Australian Rugby Union and London Wasps.

"We are extremely pleased to be able to bring in someone of Trevor Woodman's calibre. He played the game at the very highest level and then translated that skill set into a very successful coaching career," director of rugby Nigel Davies told the club's official website.

"He's worked at international level with Australia and also at club level for several seasons with London Wasps. His input is going to be invaluable going forward."

Woodman replaces the departing Tony Windo.
