Fiji flanker Dominiko Waqaniburotu has been handed a three-week ban for a dangerous tackle.
Judicial officer Christopher Quinlan of England ruled that Waqaniburotu committed a dangerous tip tackle during Fiji’s 49-3 loss to South Africa on Saturday.
The Waikato loose forward will miss Fiji’s crucial Pool D clashes with Wales and Samoa.
Waqaniburotu is the second player at the tournament to receive a suspension after England’s Courtney Lawes was banned for two matches for striking Argentina hooker Mario Ledesma with his knee.
