Michele Campagnaro has revealed that he cannot wait to start his career at Exeter Chiefs.
The Italian international centre agreed to join the Aviva Premiership club from Benetton Treviso back in February, signing a two-year deal that is due to start after the Rugby World Cup.
Campagnaro, 22, admits that he is hugely excited about playing in England's top flight for "one of the best teams" in the division.
"I think it will be a very good experience for me," he told the club's official website. "Every week it is like a [European] game, so it will be different and tough for sure. I just hope to be ready for it.
"I know English rugby is more physical, but for me it is the best championship in Europe and I am excited to participate in it.
"I have also spoken to the Italian guys in the Premiership and they tell me it is one of the best teams in the Premiership. I spoke to Andrea Masi, Luke McLean and Lorenzo Cittadini, guys that play here in England. They told me about Exeter – a good club, good rugby and a good place."
Campagnaro has made 13 appearances for Italy since 2013.
