British and Irish Lions full-back Leigh Halfpenny has thanked his teammates after being named man of the series against Australia.

The Welsh international was influential during all three Tests versus the Wallabies and helped the Lions seal the series with a 41-16 victory on Saturday.

"Everyone has contributed to this," he told Sky Sports News. "Winning man of the series is what dreams are made of but I couldn't have done it without the whole squad."

The Lions' last triumph on tour came in 1997 when they defeated South Africa.
