British and Irish Lions hooker Rory Best admits that they deserved to lose against the Brumbies on Tuesday.

British and Irish Lions hooker Rory Best has admitted that the team were "physically beaten up front" in their 14-12 loss to the Brumbies on Tuesday.

The Lions, who were forced to name a much-changed side, play their first Test against Australia on Saturday.

"We got physically beaten up front. They put a lot of pressure on our set piece and we got a bit nervy," Best told Sky Sports News.

"Credit to the Brumbies, they were hungrier than us right across the board."

The Lions had won each of their previous warm-up matches.
