Australia's Digby Ioane to be arrested

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Australia winger Digby Ioane after he failed to turn up to a court case.

The 27-year-old, who played in the Wallabies' 23-21 opening Test defeat to the British and Irish Lions on Saturday, did not appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on the case of an assault charge.

As a result, the Magistrate immediately issued a warrant for his arrest after the Queensland Reds man didn't turn up.

Ioane is a doubt for the second Test match at the weekend with a shoulder injury.
