Cameron Clark bagged 27 points as Australia opened their rugby sevens campaign at the Commonwealth Games with a convincing 62-7 win over Sri Lanka at Ibrox.

Three tries and six conversions from Clark helped down the South Asians, who did get a standing ovation after scoring a try of their own to make it 55-7.

Jesse Parahi, Tom Lucas, Con Foley, Greg Jeloudev and Pama Fou also bagged tries in the rout of the minnows.

Australia also face England and Uganda in Pool D ahead of tomorrow's finals.
