Sophie Hosking and Kat Copeland ease through heats

Team GB's Sophie Hosking and Kat Copeland have eased through their lightweight women's double sculls heat to qualify for the semi-finals.

The GB pair began the race in a controlled but positive fashion and lay in second place behind New Zealand at the 500m mark.

They began to slowly cut the deficit to first place and they edged into the lead at 1,000m.

They comfortably maintained that lead for the remainder of the race to ease into Thursday's semi-finals.
