Spreadex available sports and markets

Spreadex offers 22 sports, plus betting on virtual sports, esports, and politics. This is on the lower end for a UK sportsbook. Bet365 covers 46, for comparison. What it lacks in breadth it makes up for in a genuinely unique product: it is the only UK platform where you can place fixed-odds bets, sports spread bets, and financial trades all from one account, without switching platforms.

On the fixed-odds side, the standard features at any of the best UK betting sites are all there. Bet builder is available, in-play betting is well covered, and live streaming runs across football, tennis, horse racing and greyhound racing. Spreadex also has sponsorship deals with nine EFL clubs: Derby County, Watford, Norwich City, Sheffield United, West Brom, Sheffield Wednesday, Preston, Blackburn and Millwall, which gives it a specific following among Championship and League One bettors.

Spreadex sports betting experience, odds & limits

Odds are competitive and Spreadex runs daily price boosts on selected markets. I tested the fixed-odds football markets against Bet365 and William Hill on a handful of Premier League fixtures and found them broadly in line, not the sharpest on the market but not soft either.

On limits: minimum withdrawal is £5, maximum single withdrawal is £25,000 (or £20,000 for Mastercard). No daily cap, so multiple withdrawals in one day are allowed. There are no published maximum win limits for fixed odds, which is worth checking directly for large bets.

Spreadex spread betting feature

This is Spreadex’s defining feature and the reason most serious bettors end up here. Spread betting works differently from fixed odds: instead of betting on a binary outcome, you bet on how far above or below a bookmaker’s spread a result will land.

The further your prediction is correct, the more you win, but the further it’s wrong, the more you lose. Losses can exceed your deposit, which the site states clearly and which you should take seriously before using this product.

In practice, the spread betting markets at Spreadex cover total goals, winning margins, shirt numbers, booking points, corners and more. It is a more involved form of betting that rewards research. If you have never used it before, Spreadex has decent explanatory content on the site and I’d suggest starting with a small stake.

Note that access to spread betting requires a separate application during sign-up. The fixed-odds free bets from the welcome offer are available immediately, but the spread bet free bets in the welcome package require your spread betting application to be approved. This catches some new users out, so read the terms carefully before signing up.

Live betting and in-play features

In-play coverage is solid. I found markets available on multiple live football matches simultaneously during a midweek Champions League night, with fast odds updates and no notable lag. Live streaming covers horse racing (all UK and Ireland races), greyhound racing, football and tennis. Cash out is available on both fixed-odds and spread bets, with partial cash out also on offer.

SpreadEx Casino review

Spreadex has a separate casino app and it is best understood as an add-on rather than a core product. It covers slots and standard table games, enough for occasional play without being the deep catalogue you would find at a dedicated casino operator like 888 or Betway Casino.

The casino runs under the same UKGC licence and account login as the sportsbook, which is convenient. You are not managing two separate accounts or two separate verification processes. For a bettor who wants to occasionally play a few slots between sports events without switching platforms, that single-account access has genuine practical value.

What Spreadex’s casino does not have, at least at the time of testing, is a live casino section or a wide progressive jackpot catalogue. The game library is functional: standard video slots from a selection of providers, blackjack and roulette variants, but it is not a reason to choose Spreadex if casino is a significant part of your gambling activity. There are better-equipped operators for that.

Reviewing the Spreadex website

I’ll be straightforward here: the Spreadex desktop site is not immediately intuitive. It has a dark theme, dense data displays and a layout that takes some getting used to. When I first logged in I spent a few minutes orienting myself, as the fixed-odds sportsbook, spread betting markets, financial trading and casino sections are all accessible but the navigation between them is not as clean as a pure-play sportsbook like Sky Bet or Betfair.

Once you know where things are, it works well enough. The sports betting app is the one most UK bettors will use and it is noticeably cleaner than the desktop site, with a simpler layout, faster navigation, and better suitability for in-play betting where speed matters.

Both ratings are above average for a mid-sized UK bookmaker. The app covers the full feature set: live streaming, in-play markets, spread betting, cash out, bet builder and account management. I used it on an iPhone during a horse racing afternoon and found the streaming reliable, with no buffering issues that are common on competitor apps during busy periods.

One limitation: the three-app structure means you need separate downloads for sports, casino and financial trading. A unified app would be more convenient.

The Spreadex sign up offer represents excellent value for money. Getting £60 in return for a £10 deposit and wager is a very good deal. A history of Spreadex

Spreadex was founded in 1999 in Dunstable, Bedfordshire by Jonathan Hufford, a former City dealer, with the goal of making spread betting more accessible to retail customers. A summary of my Spreadex review

There are a lot of good things to like about the Spreadex platform. It’s great that you can bet in the sportsbook and make spread bets as well. I also think that the Spreadex sign up offer is up there with the best.

I am not a huge fan of the main desktop browser site, as it feels a bit cluttered, to be honest. However, the excellent mobile app clears this all up, so this is not a major issue. The operator also provides one of the widest ranges of customer support options I have seen. Overall, this is a very good sports betting platform that I would happily endorse.
