The Betfair World Cup offer is bet £10, get £50 in free bets to use on Bet Builders. With the FIFA World Cup 2026 taking place from June 11th to July 19th with 104 matches between 48 teams, there’s a lot to bet on.

Here’s how the offer works, who it suits and what existing Betfair customers can use during the tournament.

What is the 2026 Betfair World Cup offer? Bet £10, get £50 in free bet builders

The offer gives new customers £50 in free bets after a first bet of £10 or more. It lands as 5 x £10 free bets for use on Bet Builders, accumulators or multiples, on any sport, not just the World Cup.

The terms worth knowing before you opt in:

  • Qualifying bet: £10 or more on any sports market at minimum odds of 2.0 (evens, or 1/1)
  • Qualifying deposit: £10 or more via Pay By Bank, debit card or Apple Pay, within 30 days of signing up
  • Free bets: 5 x £10, valid for 30 days, for Bet Builders, accas or multiples only
  • The free-bet stake isn’t returned in any winnings
  • No code needed when you sign up through the link above, which applies the offer automatically
  • Excluded bet types: Canadian, Goliath, Heinz, Lucky 15, Lucky 31, Lucky 63, Patent, Super Heinz, Trixie and Yankee

In short: sign up, deposit £10 or more with a qualifying method, place a £10 bet at evens or longer, and once it settles you get 5 x £10 Bet Builder free bets.

What are Betfair’s welcome offers?

Betfair lists two sign-up offers side by side, and you can pick one:

Welcome offerWhat you getSign up
Betfair welcome offerBet £10, get £50 (5 x £10) in free bets for Bet Builders, accas or multiplesClaim offer
Betfair secondary offerBet £10, get £30 (3 x £10) in free bets for Bet Builders, accas or multiplesClaim offer

The two are identical apart from the amount, and you can only claim one, so the £50 version is the obvious pick. The free bets are valid for 30 days in both cases.

How to claim the Betfair World Cup offer

You can do this on the Betfair app for iOS and Android or through the browser site. If you’re a new customer wanting an account before kick-off, the process takes a few minutes.

  1. Step 1: Visit the Betfair offer page from the coupon above. There’s no bonus code. Simply click any of the links in this article and it’ll open the Betfair registration page with the offer applied.
  2. Step 2: Register. Tap ‘Sign Up’ from the top right, then enter your name, address, date of birth and phone number, add your email and a password, set your account currency and a deposit limit, accept the terms and confirm.
  3. Step 3: Make a qualifying deposit. Only Pay By Bank, Apple Pay and debit card qualify for the offer. Choose one and deposit at least £10. All three process instantly.
  4. Step 4: Place your qualifying bet. Pick any market at odds of 2.0 (evens) or longer and stake £10 or more. It can be a World Cup match or any other sport. If your bet wins, you keep the winnings on top of the free bets. A few markets that clear the minimum odds:
    • To reach the semi-finals: Portugal (11/5)
    • Correct score: Spain 3-0 (5/1)
    • A group-stage match to be drawn (around 12/5)
  5. Step 5: Get your free bets. Once your qualifying bet settles, the 5 x £10 free bets appear on the bet slip after you make a selection. In my experience this can take a day or so rather than landing instantly, so don’t panic if they’re not there straight away.
  6. Step 6: Use them. Build a Bet Builder, acca or multiple, add the free bet on the bet slip and place it. They work on any sport and must be used within 30 days. Remember the free-bet stake isn’t returned in your winnings.

What World Cup markets and features are available on Betfair?

I signed up for Betfair with the usual details, which was straightforward, then placed my qualifying £10 bet on an in-play Copa Verde match, Nacional AM to win against Paysandu. It lost, but the 5 x £10 Bet Builder free bets still arrived.

Navigation is easy on both the app and desktop. The World Cup 2026 tab is well stocked. Front and centre is To Reach, with lines for the final, semi-finals and quarter-finals for each team. Brazil is my pick to reach the final, and at 16/5 the price matched what I’d already taken at Sky Bet.

In the All Outrights category the depth is good:

  • tournament winner (Spain and France head the market, with England around 6/1)
  • the Golden Boot
  • group winners
  • to reach quarter-finals, semi-finals and final
  • winning margin
  • stage of elimination

You can also combine several outright selections into one bet using Bet Builder on outrights. There’s a World Cup 2026 OddsBoosts section too, with enhanced prices that change often, so it’s worth checking back. At the time of writing it had Scotland to reach the round of 16 (boosted to 7/2) and Harry Kane for the Golden Boot (8/1).

England markets are well represented. England Top Team Goalscorer has Harry Kane at 4/9, Bukayo Saka at 8/1 and Jude Bellingham at 14/1, alongside an England Exact Points in Group market (nine points at 15/8). For something more left-field, the tournament specials run deep: 5+ hat-tricks across the tournament (11/10), every team to score at least one goal (5/2), 12+ own goals (11/8), 55+ headed goals (7/10) and corner totals such as 1010+ corners (17/20).

All odds mentioned are correct at the time of writing and subject to change.

The features that matter for a tournament:

  • Bet Builder – Combine markets within a single match, such as a result, over 2.5 goals and a named player to score, into one price. Betfair also runs Bet Builder on World Cup outrights, so you can pair several tournament selections in a single bet. This is where your welcome free bets get used.
  • Safe Sub – On selected player markets like shots, shots on target, and fouls, if your player is substituted, the bet rolls onto their replacement rather than dying on the bench. Handy for a tournament with heavy squad rotation.
  • 90 Minute Guarantee – Your match-result bet is paid as a win if your team leads at 90:00, even if the opposition scores in stoppage time. Cash Out doesn’t apply to it.
  • In-play and Cash Out – Markets update live through each match, and Cash Out is available in-play on most match markets, so you can settle early to lock in a profit or cut a loss.
  • Betting Exchange – The exchange lets you set your own odds and lay selections, which sets Betfair apart from a standard sportsbook.

Betfair won’t be live-streaming the World Cup. UK rights sit with the BBC and ITV, who are showing all 104 matches free-to-air, so the live experience at Betfair is in-play betting and Cash Out rather than video. Betfair does have a section on the site which offers a World Cup betting guide and tips.

Betfair also lists ready-made outright Bet Builders under the Bet Builder tab, themed around old tournaments. There’s a “Spirit of 1966” treble (England to win, Germany to reach the final and Portugal to reach the semis) priced at 270/1, and a “USA 94 Repeat” option

I added the latter to my slip: Brazil to win the tournament, with Germany and Spain each to reach the quarter-finals, which Betfair combined into a single price of 49.29/1, so a £10 stake would return £502.89 if all three came in. The price tells the story, though. A 49/1 treble needs three separate results to land, so it’s a small-stakes bit of fun rather than anything to bank on.

Betfair won’t live stream the World Cup. UK rights sit with the BBC and ITV, who are showing all 104 matches free-to-air, so the live experience at Betfair is in-play betting and Cash Out rather than video.

One gap I noted: Betfair’s match stats feature, powered by Opta, isn’t live on the World Cup markets yet. The Stats column on the match list currently returns “stats unavailable”, so for now you can’t pull up form and head-to-head data inside the World Cup tab the way you can for league football. It may well fill in closer to kick-off.

Betfair World Cup promotions for existing customers

Once you’ve claimed the welcome offer, or if you already hold an account, there are ongoing promotions through the tournament:

  • Odds boosts. Enhanced prices in the World Cup 2026 tab, refreshed regularly.
  • Bet Builder and acca offers. With the welcome bonus built around Bet Builders, Betfair tends to run further Bet Builder promotions on World Cup matches.
  • Refer and Earn. £10 in cash for each successful referral who stakes £10 or more.
  • My Betfair Rewards. Perks and reduced commission on the exchange.

Always check the live promotions page and the terms before opting in, as availability changes through the tournament.

Is the £50 bet builder free bets for new customers or existing account holders?

The bet £10, get £50 deal is reserved exclusively for new customers. The offer is limited to one per person, household, and payment method. If you already hold a Betfair account, you can’t claim it, but there are tournament promotions you can use, covered further down.

Which payments qualify for the offer?

For the welcome offer, the deposit detail that matters is which methods unlock it. Only three do.

When comparing to other World Cup betting sites, Betfair’s £50 is tied with Betfred for the biggest standard free-bet amount, though both restrict how you use it: Betfair’s free bets are for Bet Builders, accas and multiples, while Betfred’s also work on singles. Among the £30 offers, the Bet365 World Cup offer has the lowest qualifying odds at 1/5 and needs only a £5 deposit, while the Unibet World Cup offer and William Hill both ask for evens.

Ladbrokes gives £30 from a smaller £5 stake. The Sky Bet sign up offer is the easiest to trigger, since a 5p qualifying bet at evens or longer returns £30 in free bet tokens.

SpreadEx is the outlier. You bet £10 on a nation to win the World Cup and get £30 in free bets up front (one fixed-odds bet plus Total Goals and Supremacy football spread bets), then a further £10 free bet for every match your nation wins, up to £100 in total, with the offer open until 23 June. Note that the bonus includes spread bets, where losses can exceed your stake, so it suits experienced bettors rather than first-timers.

If you mainly bet Bet Builders, Betfair’s offer is one of the strongest here. If you prefer singles, one of the £30 deals or Betfred will suit you better.

Can I trust Betfair?

The licensing is the part that counts: segregated customer funds, dispute resolution through IBAS and the responsible-gambling tools the operator is required to provide

My verdict on this Betfair offer

The Betfair sign up offer was simple to claim, and the £50 in free bets gave me plenty to work with across the early World Cup fixtures. I’d have preferred standard free bets that work on singles, and punters who bet mostly singles may find a £30 offer elsewhere a better fit.

That aside, the amount is among the highest around and the Bet Builder focus suits tournament football well. For Bet Builder bettors, it’s an easy one to recommend.
