Opera singer says no to closing ceremony

Russian opera singer Anna Netrebko has said that she will not take part in the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

The singer sang the Olympic Anthem in front of 40,000 spectators during the opening ceremony on Friday.

Replying to a question as to whether or not she would take part in the closing ceremony, Netrebko told RIA Novosti: "No, I won't."

It is traditional to sing the Olympic Anthem in every opening and closing ceremony of the Games.
