Wales flanker Dan Lydiate 'sees ghost' at 'haunted' team hotel

Wales flanker Dan Lydiate is not happy with his squad's Rugby World Cup base in Surrey as he has apparently seen a ghost there, according to teammate Samson Lee.

Wales prop Samson Lee has revealed that teammate Dan Lydiate has apparently seen a ghost at their hotel in Surrey.

The Dragons are currently staying at the Oatlands Park hotel in Weybridge which has been the team's base for their matches at Twickenham.

Wales stayed in the Surrey base for the week leading up to the 28-25 victory over England and returned on Sunday night to prepare for their Pool A showdown against Australia next Saturday.

Lee told Wales Online: "A few boys think they've seen a ghost but I'm not sure they actually have. I think it's best to stay away from room 1313. Some of them reckon they have seen Henry VIII.

"It has been discussed over food and stuff like that and Dan Lydiate isn't happy about it. He actually thinks he's seen a ghost but I think he's dreaming."

Oatlands Park, a privately owned historic country house, became a hotel in 1856 and stands on the site of the grand Royal Palaces of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I.
