Andy Murray: "No truth" in engagement rumours

Andy Murray has denied speculation in the British media that he is preparing to propose to his girlfriend Kim Sears.

Reports had claimed that the British number one would pop the question following the conclusion of the ongoing US Open in New York.

However, the 25-year-old has insisted that there is "no truth" in the rumours.

"I don't think I've been to a jewellery shop for three or four years," he told Sky Sports News. "There is no truth in that yet. Maybe in the future but I have got no plans for that."

Some bookmakers were recently taking bets on when Murray would be getting down on one knee.
