Eugenie Bouchard thanks One Direction singer Niall Horan for support

Canadian tennis player Eugenie Bouchard has thanked One Direction singer Niall Horan for supporting her during her second-round match at the US Open.

The Irish popstar attended Flushing Meadows with bandmate Liam Payne, before posing for a photo with the former Wimbledon finalist's twin sister Beatrice.

The world number 25 took to Twitter to thank the former X Factor contestant for his support:

Bouchard, who has won back-to-back matches for the first time since March, will face Dominika Cibulkova in the third round of the tournament.
